Business Analyst:
A Business Analyst is liaison or a link between stakeholders belonging to different verticals of the organisation.
Business Analyst is a professional who work on bridging the gap between business and technology team with the help of tool and technologies used in the process of business analysis.
Skills of Business Analyst:
In order to perform the role of business analyst, a professional is requiring to have certain skills which can be listed as below:
1.Analytical skills: As a business analyst may come across large data sets and are required to analyse it, analytical ability is at the heart of business analytics process.
2.Technical Skills: Business Analyst is needed to posses the not in depth but at least working knowledge of software development languages in order to suggest and design a solution for the business requirement.
3.Communication Skill: As a Business Analyst is a professional who performs the duty as connecter or mediator, good communication skills are must for the business analyst professional

The Business Analyst being the connector or mediator between technology team and business stakeholder must perform diverse range of activities which can be listed as below:
1.Requirement Gathering and elicitation: The Business Analyst must gather high level requirement and granular functional and non-functional requirement for the software or application development
2.Documentation: The Business Analyst must prepare and keep updated various documents such as
1.Business Requirement Document
2.Functional Requirement Document
3.Change Request Tracker
4.End User Manual
5. Requirement Traceability Metrix
6.Project Closure document and sign off.
3.Stakeholder Management: The Business Analyst must act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology team. As a liaison, the business Analyst is responsible for communicating at regular intervals to keep them updated about the progress of the project and answer their queries or concerns, if any.
4.Change Request: All the Change request for the project is being mediated through the Business Analyst. The Business Analyst upon the receipt of change request initiates the feasibility study to undertake change request and proceeds according to the results of the feasibility study.
5.UAT: Being the mediator between technology team and business stakeholder, the Business Analyst leads and facilitates the User Acceptance Testing for the functionality or software application developed. The Business Analyst prepares the end users for UAT with the help of trainings and manuals and follows up with end users for the completion of the User Acceptance Testing.
6.End User Manuals: The Business Analyst prepares and updated the End User Manuals for the software application or functionality developed.
7.BA Approach Strategy: The Business Analyst is the person who decides and formulates the BA Approach strategy for the project. With the help of BA Approach Strategy, the business analyst puts a concrete plan to follow to achieve the set of goal determined.
