ROLE OF BUSINESS ANALYST IN SCRUM

• A BA can work as a proxy Product owner and proxy Scrum master in SCRUM.
• After Requirement planning, BA conducts multiple requirement gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders and analyses the requirements.
• BA create ‘Feature list’ where all the finalized requirements are listed, by discussing with Product Owner.
• From ‘Feature list’, BA identify the ‘Epic’ which is nothing but ‘Business Requirement’ and ‘Theme’ which is ‘Stakeholder Requirements’.
• BA create ‘user story’ by conducting ‘User story workshop’ and brief them for development team.
• Create product backlog.
• Conduct sprint planning meeting at the beginning of each sprint.
• Conduct daily scrum meeting.
• Conduct sprint review meeting.
• Create sprint backlog.
• Create product burndown chart.
• Conduct sprint retrospective meeting for action of next sprint.
• BA sometimes perform ‘Integration Testing’ and ‘System Testing’ to ensure the desired functionalities from system.
