Gap analysis is a simple tool to help you identify the gap between the current and the future state that you want to reach ,along with the tasks that you need to complete to close the gap.
Gap analysis is useful in the beginning of the process while developing a business case.
Important steps to follow :
- Identify your future state : Begin with identifying the objectives you want to achieve.
- Analyze your current state : Current state of your project.
- Identify how you will bridge the gap : Once you know both your current and future state of the project, think of bridging the gap and reach project objective.
