Gap Analysis: It is the process used to analyze the gap b/w the present state and desired state in any project or in the organization. It helps in decision making, Strategy planning, and improve the productivity of the resources.

In other words, we can say that It is a formal study of what a business is doing currently and where it wants to go in the future.

Ex- Suppose you have to complete ¼ of the project/Module in 5 days and you have completed only 1/8 of the project/module in 5 days then we go for gap analysis to discuss the gap which has come after 5 days of work.The things which are  considered in gap analysis

3.Customer satisfaction

4.Quality Staff training

5.Improvement  Programs

Gap analysis is a process typically performed by business analysts and project managers for the data or difference between the current process and the future prospects are known as the gap.GAP  Analysis revolves around where are we? And where do we want to be?

Gap analysis provides a foundation for measuring investment of time, money, and human resources required to achieve a particular outcome.
