GANTT CHART

Gantt chart is a chart that illustrates a graphical representation of the duration of tasks against the progression of time.
It is introduced by the henry Lawrence Gantt around year 1910 – 1915. Gantt chart is commonly used for project management and
shows the start and finish dates of the summary of a projects. Some points that are mention below are as follows:

1. A Gantt chart is a tool or bar chart that shows the task of a project, when each must take place and how long each will take.

2. As the project progresses, bars are shaded to show which tasks have been completed.

3. People assigned to each task also can be represented.

4. It is also known as: Milestones chart, Project chart and Activity chart.

5. It can also be customize the legends according to you.
How to Construct and Use a Gantt Chart-

– Identify the tasks needed to complete the projects.
– Identify the key milestones in the projects.
– Identify the time or duration required for each task in the project.
– Identify the sequence that which tasks must be finished before a following task can begin and which can happen simultaneously.
– Draw a Horizontal time axis and vertical activities tasks to be performed.
