Fish bone diagram is part of Root-cause Analysis’ It helps to find the root cause of the problem and the recommend a check list to take actions appropriately. It helps to identify all the causes required for a process. All the effects with eventually gives the results and all the areas of the issues are identified. This process provides additional insights. This method use five-why’s to find the root causes. When the team’s thinking is not going towards “Root Cause”. Fish bone diagram is used in product marketing and service industries. Thus this is called effect diagram. The problem statement is given with a solution by listing down all possibilities and offering it with a solution.
