- Define Business Need/ Business Problem/ Business Opportunities :
Before Starting this Enterprise Analysis first we need to be clear that whether the need /problem/ opportunities what we are talking is correct one. If we are taking wrong need our solution will be different. So ensuring that we are working on the correct Needs or Business Problem or Business Opportunities. We also know that Enterprise Analysis is the first Activity of any Business Analysis and at the end of Enterprise Analysis Project is born . So if something goes wrong here then all the activities until end of Business Analysis will be wrong. So Define Business Need is to identify the correct need or problem or opportunity and validate that we are working on the correct one.
- Access Capability Gap :
Now we have identified the Business Needs or Business Problem or Business Opportunities , now what are all those capabilities without which we cannot accomplished the Business Needs or what new capabilities are needed which we don’t have within Organization, we need to identify those capabilities because with the lack of these capabilities we are not able to satisfy those Needs , Solved our Problems or Capture those opportunities. So here when we say Capability Gaps we need to understand what are the all capabilities already within the organization and which capabilities are missing we need to solve particular problem.
- Define Solution Approach :
In second Step we find out the new Capabilities which are not in organisation. Now here we find out What is that Solution Approach we need to adopt to bring this new capabilities into the organization.
- Define Solution Scope :
What are the all new capabilities that will be delivered out of the solution which we are going to select. We will be selecting a solution after identifying Solution Approach. Now we have a proper solution to a particular methodology. Now here the solution scope is what are all those new capabilities delivered by this.
- Define Business Case :
Presenting or helping the higher Management to make a decision whether this new capabilities or the solution is required or not. Business case is nothing but it is the justification “ To do or Not to Do” particular venture.
